EWG Retail Operations Annual Meeting 2026
The 2026 annual meeting will take place on September 23–25, 2026, at Instituto Superior Técnico (Técnico), University of Lisbon.
Técnico is the School of Engineering of the largest university in Portugal. The university leads several rankings as the best University in Portugal, and is amongst the 200 best universities worldwide. While the University has 19 schools and around 52,000 students, Técnico alone has around 12,000 students. Técnico aims to contribute to the development of society, promoting and sharing excellence in higher education in the fields of Architecture, Engineering, Science, and Technology. Técnico offers Bachelor, Master, and PhD programmes, lifelong training, and develops Research, Development, and Innovation (RD&I) activities, which are essential to provide an education based on the top international standards

About EWG
The EURO Working Group on Retail Operations was founded in 2015 with the aim of advancing the development and application of methods, techniques, and tools in the field of Retail Operations. The group provides an international forum for researchers and practitioners to present state-of-the-art developments and to discuss current challenges in retail operations and related areas.
Previous meetings were held in Beilngries (Germany), Porto (Portugal), Eindhoven(Netherlands), Mallorca (Spain), Istanbul (Turkey), Stockholm (Sweden), Vienna (Austria), and Barcelona (Spain).
We are delighted to host the 2026 meeting in Lisbon, one of Europe’s most vibrant and historic cities, and we look forward to two days of stimulating academic discussions, knowledge exchange, and networking within the retail operations community.
